In 2008, I was honored to receive the Arizona Filmmaker of the Year award by the Phoenix Film Festival and was named Best Local Filmmaker by the NewTimes Best of Phoenix magazine! An interesting award that came along in 2005 for a short film was "The Most Promising Filmmaker" at the International Horror & Sci-Fi Film Festival, organized by filmmaker and comic book legend, Brian Pulido!
When not pursuing the arts, I work as a software engineer for defense projects through Honeywell Aerospace. They gave me an official title of a Scientist last year! Not sure if I deserve to be called that but sounds good!
