Musicians from Three Countries Come Together to Score "Love Letters", a Short Independent Film Produced in Phoenix, AZ

The experience of composers span the globe from Phoenix to Vienna and Austria to India. Months of late night music making sessions culminate into stunningly haunting pieces of music for the independent short film, Love Letters, produced and directed by Bivas Biswas of D.I.B. Pictures Entertainment, an independent film production company based in Phoenix,Az.

(PRWEB) January 18, 2005 -- Love Letters, a short independent drama tells the story of a couple who standing on the verge of a failed marriage stands to realize the love they have been taking for granted.

While scoring for the film, director Bivas Biswas, himself a musician, got together with the widely popular independent film composer, Thomas Hinmann, with the goal to write music that can be married to the film in a way that hearing the music years from today could bring up in mind, images from the film with a sense of nostalgia.

Before moving to the United States to complete a Masters Degree in Computer Science, Bivas Biswas was a music composer and song writer in India where he also earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering.

Thomas Hinmann has been composing music for over 25 years. He has worked on the soundtrack for Footloose and St. Elmo's Fire with David Foster. He currently lives in the valley composing music for the independent film industry.

"Thomas Hinmann has the uncanny ability to latch on to the director's emotions for the film and come up with emotionally precise scores in a very short amount of time" said Mr. Biswas, in an interview earlier today morning.

While the two musicians were hard at work scoring Love Letters, Przemyslaw Kopczyzk, a music composer from Vienna, Austria, independetly wrote "Lonely" for the Vienna Symphonic Library. Director Bivas Biswas came across Mr. Kopcyzk's composition on the Vienna Symphonic forums.

"When I heard Przemyslaw's "Lonely", I could see bits and pieces of emotions I was trying to portray, with Love Letters, portrayed in a way through his music, that I and Thomas had not come up with yet. I contacted Przemyslaw. He has been a wonderful person to work with, we reached a negotiation in a few weeks and we started dropping in parts of "Lonely" into the soundtrack for the film. I think Thomas and Przemyslaw's music elevate the visuals of the film to a level that I couldn't have achieved otherwise." the director said.

D.I.B. Pictures' media relations department, D.I.B. MediaWorks plans to release the Love Letters soundtrack album on CD through the D.I.B. Pictures Entertainment's website.
